Traffic control barrier with movable sections which slide into fixed sections and with movable reinforcing supports for both the movable sections and fixed sections

A traffic control barrier has movable sections (4) and fixed sections (3) to provide openings for lance changes, contra flows and to open and close slip roads. Movable supports (7) are fitted to the system to reinforce the extended movable sections and the fixed sections. The supports are mounted on rollers and are spaced along both the fixed and movable supports in the extended setting of the barrier. In the retracted setting some of the supports are stacked in the inner end of the fixed barrier and some are spaced along the inside of the fixed barrier. The supports have similar profile as the rest of the barrier and are moved inside the fixed barrier by guide rails.
