GENE EXAMINATION METHOD FOR JUDGING THE ONSET RISK OF GLAUCOMA

Examining genes to assess the risk of the onset of glaucoma comprising detection of at least two mutations in the glaucoma related gene encoding region and/or a region upstream from it, is new. The glaucoma related gene is preferably the MYOC gene. Independent claims are also included for oligonucleotides primers for hybridizing to the above regions; and a kit for carrying out the method.
