<p>A textile fibre has a core formed of ultra-strong synthetic, or organic, endless fibres. The core is surrounded by a sheath that is a plaited polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) narrow foil plaited in the S-direction and Z-direction, or vice versa. One full side of the foil is in contact with the core. The 1-2 mm wide foil 220-880 dtex strips are applied to the core at a rate of 200-400 rpm. The core has a tear resistance rating of 3 cN/dtex.</p> |
