<p>The docking unit includes a steam relaxation pipe (18) which is connectable through a valve (12) to the steam inlet (10) and outlet (7) according to the operating state. The valve is controlled by the operating lever (19) so that when the lever is moved from the rest to the working position the valve is closed before the switch contact activates the steam generator when the steam outlet is connected to the steam inlet opening (28) of the milk foaming jug. The valve is opened when the lever is moved from the work position to the rest position after the switch contact has switched off the steam generator and before the steam outlet is separated from the steam inlet opening (28) of the milk jug. The valve is preferably a rotatable ceramic valve whose rotational axis is axially the same as the swivel axis of operating lever.</p> |
