<p>A process for producing a container by injection molding a plastic, where a wall (1) of the container has a data carrier (5), especially a transponder, comprises injection molding the container in a mould (2), partially opening the mould at the point where the carrier is to be applied, and then applying the carrier to the container wall and covering it with a cover material (7). The wall section that holds the data carrier has a cut-out (3). The cover material is supplied with a further plastic material during a second injection molding step. The data carrier consists of an RFID transponder in film form, and the cover material is the same as the container material, e.g. a polyolefin.</p> |
