<p>An optical element which has a constitution (a), which includes a combination of a resin layer (2) and a resin layer (3), or a constitution (b), which is the same as the constitution (a) except that the positions of the layers (2) and (3) have been wholly inverted. The constitutions (a) and (b) hence have the same optical properties. Of the resin layer (2) and the resin layer (3), the surface of the resin layer (the resin layer (2) in (a) and the resin layer (3) in (b)) sandwiched between the substrate (1) and the uppermost resin layer is not in direct contact with the surrounding air. However, the surface of the uppermost resin layer (the resin layer (3) in (a) and the resin layer (3) in (b)) is in contact with the surrounding air. The resin for the resin layer (2) is compared in environmental resistance with the resin for the resin layer (3). When the resin for the resin layer (2) is superior in environmental resistance to the resin for the resin layer (3), it is desirable to employ the constitution (b). When the resin for the resin layer (3) is superior in environmental resistance to the resin for the resin layer (2), it is desirable to employ the constitution (a).</p> |
