PURPOSE: To provide a device for protecting spray nozzles during rolling process, wherein damage of the spray nozzles is prevented by installing the spray nozzle protecting device and changing angle of the spray nozzles, thereby preventing collision of an end part of a rolled strip and the spray nozzles for cleaning the strip during rolling operation. CONSTITUTION: In spray nozzles for spraying a rolling mill lubricant onto the strip to remove foreign materials on the surface of a rolled strip during the rolling process, the device for protecting spray nozzles during the rolling process comprises a spray fixing stand(10) for mounting a spray unit on one side of a rolling machine; a spray head(20) of which one side is fixed to one side of the spray fixing stand through a rotary shaft, and on which a plurality of spray nozzles(24) are formed; a first cylinder(30) of which one end is installed at the lower side of the spray fixing stand, and of which the other end is connected to the spray head side; a rotation angle indicator(40) for indicating a set angle of the spray head; a head cover(50) installed at one side of a lower part of the spray fixing stand through a rotary shaft to protect the spray head; and a second cylinder(60) of which one end is installed at the lower side of the spray fixing stand, and of which the other end is connected to the head cover to set rotation degree of the head cover.
