METHOD FOR PRODUCING PIGMENT TITANIUM DIOXIDE

The invention relates to the production of a pigment titanium dioxide by chloride and sulphate methods, in particular to the surfacing (modification) of the surface thereof. The inventive method is based on the efficient dispersion of a finely dispersed titanium dioxide in gaseous and liquid phases and on the equal access to the entire surface thereof for carrying out an exchange reaction between the pigment surface and the dispersing phase thereof. Said method also consists in applying different combinations of non-organic and organic compounds in various sequences in a continuous flow at exposure to temperatures and radiation. The method makes it possible to produce a high quality pigment titanium dioxide by a high dechlorination, the complete suppression of the photochemical activity and the organo-phylisation of the surface thereof. The production process is universal, ecologically safe and requires low investment and production expenditures. Said method can be industrially used for a chloride and sulphate titanium dioxide production.
