Mounting stud with light source

A combined mounting element and light source assembly for a light panel sign. The assembly comprises a base component 10 for fixing to a support surface and a cap component 11 attachable to the base component to hold a light panel between itself and the base component. The base component has a recess 12 in its outer face for containing a light source; the cap component covers the recess 12 from the opposite side of the light panel. The base and cap components are circular or cylindrical, are connected together by a pair of pins 21 passing through corresponding holes in the light panel, and are of polished bright metal.
