PURPOSE:To simplify the access to large-scale pattern data, by selecting n-sets of bank memories by the n-notation counter. CONSTITUTION:Data constituting a character pattern are stored in the same addresses of bank memories 2-0, 2-1,.... If the character pattern consists of divided data of 7 rows, microprocessor MPU1 transmits the same address 7 times successively. Bank memory 2-0 is designated by the first access. When the second access is generated, stack counter 8 is counted up by +1 to select bank memory 2-1, and the address on bank memory 2-1 is accessed. Addresses monopolized by bank memories are made independent of addresses monopolized by other data, thereby simplifying the access to large-scale pattern data. |
