PURPOSE: Provided are a thermally compressed cosmetic puff and a method for preparation thereof to reduce the crossectional thickness and the steps of the preparation process thereof. CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic puff comprises puff film shaped by thermally compressing and punching two films having polyester or cotton material(1) and sponge(4) sandwiched between the two films. The method for preparation of the cosmetic puff comprises the steps processing polyester or cotton material into puff film; filling sponge between the two puff films; heating and compressing the two films; and heating and punching the two compressed films to shape into the desired form.
