A toy pistol comprises a loading and releasing trigger (7) and a housing adapted for accommodating a small boomerang (2) therein and carrying hinged thereto a lever (11) biased by a coil spring (16) and effective to grip the boomerang (2) under the control of the trigger (7) to perform an angular movement toward the housing to load the coil spring (16) and cause the lever (11) to launch the boomerang (2).
