Remote monitoring system

The system has instrumentation (12) and a hand-held computer (14) for sensing process parameters of a nuclear power plant and generating a process data to be stored in an electronic storage device (16). The data is automatically sent to a remote computer in a remote sub-system (20) via a communication link. The remote computer runs data analysis and diagnostic simulations on the data to predict future events. The link sends the data via a transmitter (18), and is received by a receiver (22) in the remote subsystem.
