PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for removing oil on the surface of stainless steel sheet, wherein the apparatus prevents interruption of process progress due to the oil on the surface of the stainless steel sheet by removing oil adhered to the surface of the stainless steel sheet in the middle of the stainless steel sheet manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: In a stainless steel sheet rolling mill, the apparatus for removing oil on the surface of stainless steel sheet is characterized in that it is constructed to absorb oil on the surface of the stainless coil by contacting a first oil absorber(10) with one surface of the stainless coil and absorb oil on the other surface of the stainless coil by contacting a second oil absorber(50) with other surface of the stainless coil if a stainless coil passing through a deflector roll(2) is sensed by a light emitting sensor and a light receiving sensor, wherein the apparatus comprises the first and second oil absorbers(10,50) spaced apart from each other; a pair of first and second rollers(20,60) respectively installed at both ends of the absorbers; first and second oil absorbing materials(30,70) rotated by the first and second rollers; and first and second cylinders(40,80) installed perpendicularly to the backside of the absorbers to adjust a distance between the first and second oil absorbing materials and the surface of the stainless coil.
