A toner process involves heating a mixture of an aqueous colorant dispersion, an aqueous latex emulsion and an aqueous wax dispersion below latex polymer glass transition temperature in the presence of a coagulant to provide aggregates, adding a base followed by an organic sequestering agent and heating above latex polymer glass transition temperature.
