<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a silencer having a simple structure by winding a porous metallic plate spirally leaving a space so that holes may not overlap and by welding both ends. CONSTITUTION:Many holes are bored through a metallic plate 1, and said plate is wound spirally making one side part 1a thereof inside and leaving a space. At that time, opposing holes are so arranged as not to be overlapped. An outer end part 1b is welded while an inner end part 1a is also welded. Exhaust gas is introduced axially, and is silented while passing through said porous part properly and exhausted to the outside. By making a silencer in such a structure, a low-priced silencer is obtained extremely easily.</p> |
