Process for back coating a carpet

A method for binding nap and filaments into carpeting material involves coating the back of the material at the rate of 20-1500 g/m2 with a molten coating material showing a melt viscosity of 200-20000 mPa.s at 190degreesC and containing 50-100 wt% essentially amorphous poly-alpha-olefin (I). An Independent claim is also included for carpeting made by this method.
