When retransmission is performed after failure of data packet transmission between two radio stations transmitting in parallel a plurality of data packets by utilizing the a plurality of radio channels and space division multiplex, the number of empty channels is compared to the number of retransmission packets. When they are different or the number of empty channels is greater than the number of retransmission packets, retransmissio n packets are reconfigured according to the number of empty channels and each of the retransmission packets reconfigured is transmitted in parallel by using the empty channels.
