PURPOSE: A bus number display apparatus using an LED element is provided to improve readability of bus numbers during the day and at night by displaying the bus number using the LED element. CONSTITUTION: A main display(220) includes the LED element arranged in 7-segment formation for displaying bus numbers. A sub-display(230) is arranged to be overlapped with the LED element in a rear portion of the main display to supplement the operation of the main display. A first controller(210) varies the number displayed by the main and sub-displays. The first controller includes a second controller, a switch, a power storage, and a converter. The second controller also varies the number displayed by the main and sub-displays under the control of the user. The switch applies an input signal in an up-counter method for each of the numbers displayed by the displays. The power storage stores power for emergency use. The converter converts an input high voltage to a predetermined voltage level. |
