PURPOSE: A device for removing swarfs in the dryer process is provided to improve the quality of a strip by preventing the generation of such defects as scratches on the strip due to the adherence of swarfs. CONSTITUTION: A device for removing swarfs in the dryer process comprises a pair of brush rolls(21,22) installed at the inlet part of a dryer to separate the swarfs adhered on the surface of a strip, brush roll drive motors(23,24) axially fixed on each end of the brush rolls to rotate the brush rolls, a lifting unit to lift down the brush rolls and contact the brush rolls to the surface of the strip, and a filtering unit installed on a passage of a dryer recovery line to filter the fine swarfs separated from the surface of the strip.
