The circuit (6) has at least one first and a second contact (4,5) for connecting a two-wire line (1), whereby the first contact is connected to a voltage supply (Vcc) and the circuit has an output contact (7) for a digital output signal. A potential shift device is arranged between the contacts to shift the potential of the mean voltage of an alternating voltage coupled into the two-wire line, especially for increasing the potential. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a loop current signaling arrangement; and (b) a method of noise-resistant transmission of signals over a two-wire line. |
