SHORT DISTANCE PAGING SERVICE METHOD AND SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY FOR PROVIDING A PAGER TO A USER AND TRANSMITTING A PAGE SIGNAL TO THE USER WHO IS VISITING A PLACE WHERE MOBILE TERMINAL CANNOT BE CARRIED ALONG WHEN A MOBILE TERMINAL OF THE USER RECEIVES A CALL

摘要

PURPOSE: A short distance paging service method and system are provided to allow a user to effectively cope with an emergency situation by checking whether his/her mobile terminal has received a call while the user is visiting a place where bringing of the mobile terminal is not permitted. CONSTITUTION: Database of client information is formed by a page information manager of a central controller for a short distance paging service(S10). The page information manager searches and assigns an available specific number to a client, and a mobile terminal of the client is connected with a pager assigned the same specific number for starting the short distance paging service(S20). When the mobile terminal of the client receives a call, the pager senses it and transmits a destination signal to the central controller(S30). The central controller transmits a page signal to the pager(S40). The pager receives the page signal and informs the client that the mobile terminal has received the call(S50).
