BATTERY CARTRIDGE HAVING HOLLOW ELECTRODES AND A RECESS FOR DETECTING MISUSE AND/OR RECESSED TERMINALS

A battery pack having a casing with detection apertures, and groove means formed along a center line on the casing bottom surface for sliding and engaging with an electrical apparatus having connection terminals. Two hollow electrodes are provided on the front face of the casing for receiving the connection terminals inside the casing. Improper attachment of the battery pack to the apparatus can easily be detected by the inclination of the apparatus relative to the center line, while damage to the batteries in the battery pack caused by a short-circuit due to contact with metals or dust accumulation can be prevented.
