摘要 FIELD: optical devices. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed for spatial handling of both separate particles and mass of particles irrespective of their optical properties, mass, and size, including their clamping in desired position and moving in desired direction has optical radiation source, optical system, spatial displacement system for moving particles in medium communicating with optical system and/or with movable stage, additional optical unit disposed past main optical system, parameters of this unit being interrelated with those of optical system. Radiation source may be of continuous type incorporating radiation intensity modulator or of pulsed design. Additional unit provides for desired distribution of radiation in near-particle medium and has lens or set of lenses, or any other optical component. Optical source wavelength and medium optical parameters and composition ensure radiation absorption in medium proper; time and power characteristics of optical radiation source afford thermal or thermal and acoustic gradients in near-object medium for its spatial clamping within desired space or moving in desired direction.
