FIELD: tests of explosives by their shock-wave compression. ^ SUBSTANCE: the shock wave is transferred to the specimen through an intermediate layer made of a porous explosive, or through a system of intermediate layers, the density of the porous substance in which grows from layer to layer in the direction of the shock wave generator to the specimen of the explosive.
