FIELD: physics and charged-particle acceleration engineering; devices for mounting and changing solid state targets. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed target assembly designed for conducting experiments in high-energy physics to produce secondary-radiation beams has housing, set of packing facilities, and target changing mechanism made in the form of two-position turning lever whose opposite ends carry two seats for changeable target magazines, one of them being mounted in working position on axis of ionizing-radiation transport-beam path and other seat, on axis of target magazine changing position. Turning lever is secured by means of shaft hinged in its center in housing whose cover accommodates two axially movable membranes, one on working position axis and other on target magazine changing axis. Membranes are joined to set of packing and threaded facilities enabling locking target in working position when on working position axis and target magazine changing when on magazine changing axis upon packing and locking seat secured on turning lever without disturbing medium, such as vacuum, inside accelerator. In addition turning lever may be made flexible. ^ EFFECT: simplified design of means for setting target being irradiated in working position and changing targets without disturbing medium inside accelerator. ^ 1 cl, 1 dwg |
