The exhaust pipe has a first and second exhaust turbocharger with a first exhaust outlet pipe (11) partially enclosing the second exhaust outlet pipe (12). The second pipe runs in the same direction over a predetermined calming stretch (B) inside the first pipe and at the end of this calming stretch ends in an outlet opening (14) which changes together with the first pipe into the common outlet orifice (13). An exhaust flap (16) is mounted in the second pipe to open and close the outlet opening.
