METHOD FOR USING COMBINATION CARD INCLUDING ICC AND MS

PURPOSE: A method for using a combination card including an ICC(IC Chip) and an MS(Magnetic Stripe) is provided to protect the card of a customer by preventing illegal use of an MS area, and offer competitiveness for a transition period to an IC card from an MS card. CONSTITUTION: A network server stores issuance information of the combination card to a storing medium by linking with combination card issuance customer information and card information(200). When the customer uses the MS included in the combination card, a card terminal reads the customer information or the card information from the MS area(205). Issuance information linked with the customer information or the card information stored in the storing medium is extracted based on the read customer information or card information(210). It is discriminated that the customer card is the combination card based on the read issuance information(215). In case of the combination card, the card terminal is guided to use the ICC included in the combination card(245).
