PURPOSE: A system and method for playing an on-line game by transmitting the motion information of a mobile phone to a game server are provided to enable a user to enjoy an on-line game with the other side more delicately and realistically by installing a device in a mobile phone to detect the inclined states of he mobile phone and transmitting the inclination information to a game server with the manipulation information of a keypad. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone is composed of a motion detection part, a keypad part, a modem, a storage part, a monitor part, and a control part. The motion detection part detects the up, down, right, and left inclination states of the mobile phone. The keypad part is to input the user's direct manipulation. The modem transmits the information inputted from the keypad part to a game server, and receives a result value from the game server. The storage part stores a program for displaying the received result value through the monitor. The monitor part displays the received result value. The control part controls the components.
