PURPOSE: A DIS(Driver Information System) of a vehicle and a method for booting the DIS before riding of a driver are provided to boot the DIS regardless of ignition of an engine by judging a riding intention of a driver through a local area wireless communication between an ignition key and the DIS if the driver holding the ignition key enters a predetermined distance radius from the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The ignition key(100) transmits a key code formatted in a protocol type through a wireless channel. A receiver(210) receives/processes the key code. A controller(220) boots an OS(Operating System) regardless of the ignition if the received key code is identical with set key code data by analyzing/comparing the received key code. A display(230) displays each function selection icon to a Windows screen and displays selected information. |
