An electrode for endocardial electrical stimulation of the heart has an electrode head (13) with backward-pointing securing bodies (14, 15) for attaching the electrode head to the endocardium. The securing bodies (14, 15) have a rounded surface, or a flexibility or softness that when the electrode is implanted in the heart they will be atraumatically secured in the event of irregularities in the endocardium. The securing bodies (14, 15) have a totally or partially conductive surface (18) that is connected to a heart stimulator (19). The securing devices therefore form the impulse-transmitting plane between the electrode and the endocardium.<IMAGE> |
