The flexible sheeting comprises of segments (S1-S4) assembled together and arranged for supporting the sidewalls of a narrow ditch filled with liquid while pipelines (VL,RWL,SWL) are parallelly laid into the narrow ditch. The segments are assembled and arranged in the ditch without being obstructive in the pipeline installation. The segments are detachably assembled together for easy adjustment. Autocentering guide components or assembly aids are provided at the top and bottom surfaces of the segments.
