The device for the emptying of residual material from large plastic tubes consists of a high grade steel wire which is about 26 cm. long and 3-4 mm. thick, and after about 6 cm. bent at right angles by 90 degrees. After 3 cm. there is another bend of 90 degrees so that the wire now describes a U with unequal sides. The U lies on a working plate, and the long side measured down the last bend is bent by 90 degrees after 6 cm. After a distance of about 7-8 mm. the remaining wire is bent by 90 degrees in the direction of the second bend.
