The method involves placing a mask above an object, where the mask has an aperture. The object is made of magnetic conductive material for a stator or a rotator of a linear step motor. The object is hit at high speed through the aperture by a particle to form teeth e.g. stepped teeth or rounded teeth, on the object. The mask is changed to have a different shape of the aperture. An independent claim is also included for a linear step motor.
