Copy-protected profiled flat key for a cylinder lock with a profiled vertical key channel comprises notches and/or cut-outs corresponding to a specified code and a longitudinal profile. At least one permanent magnet section (6) is incorporated in the profiled region of the flat key before the notches or cut-outs for the code and the longitudinal profile. The position of the section on the longitudinal axis of the key profile is selected so that lateral stabilizing notch flanks remain during production of the notches or cut-outs. Independent claims are also included for key/lock combinations with a flat key for a cylinder lock with a profiled vertical key channel.
