PURPOSE: A heat transfer medium for a boiler apparatus and the boiler apparatus utilizing the heat transfer medium are provided to quickly execute such functions as heating and hot-water supply functions with low energy usage expenses. CONSTITUTION: A heat transfer medium for a boiler apparatus is heated from the boiler apparatus to execute heating and to heat water and supply hot water. In the heat transfer medium for the boiler apparatus, aluminum powder is mixed in a liquid heat transfer medium fluid. The boiler apparatus comprises a body(10) in which the heat transfer medium for the boiler apparatus is inserted and a hot-water supply circulation pipe(13) is installed; at least one heating rod(20) installed to the body to heat the heat transfer medium for the boiler apparatus; and at least one convection current pipe(30) installed to the sides of the body to evenly heat the heat transfer medium for the boiler apparatus heated by the heating rod through convection current.
