PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device, and a method for fabricating the same are provided to easily repair when links are open, by forming repair patterns and short-circuiting the repair patterns from the links by applying a laser beam. CONSTITUTION: Gate lines(135) are formed on a substrate(104). Gate pads(110) supply driving signals to the gate lines. Gate links(133) connect the gate pads and the gate lines and are formed in zigzags according to connected positions. Repair patterns(83) are formed alternately with the gate links and are connected with the gate links by an optical beam in repairing.
