PURPOSE: A valve plate of a hermetic compressor is provided to simplify the production of parts comprising the compressor by forming a part receiving deformation of a cylinder at which processing is easily performed. CONSTITUTION: A valve plate(30) mounted on the front side of a cylinder corresponding to a front end of a compression chamber is composed of a plate body(31) bored with through-holes(32,33) for moving the working fluid into and out of the compression chamber and an anti-interference unit(35) formed on one side of the plate body to surround a position corresponding to the edge of the compression chamber. The anti-interference unit is an annular groove of which the outer radius is larger than the radius of the compression chamber and an inner radius is smaller than the compression chamber.
