PURPOSE: A display apparatus with improved reliability is provided to improve reliability by controlling an amplitude of an output voltage of a scan driver connected to a scan electrode of an FED(Field Emission Display) when an average anode current of an FED anode exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION: An MIM(Metal-Insulator-Metal)-type FED panel(1) receives a voltage from a high voltage generating circuit(7). Data drivers(4,5,6) supply display data based on signals from a video processing circuit to the MIM-type FED panel. A current detecting circuit(9) detects a current from the high voltage generating circuit at the MIN-type FED panel. Output amplitudes of the data drivers supplied to the MIM-type FED panel are controlled by the current detected by the current detecting circuit. Scan drivers(2,3) scan the MIN-type FED panel. The video processing circuit supplies image signals to the MIN-type FED panel.
