LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE IMPROVING THE PRODUCTIVITY BY REDUCING THE NUMBER OF MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to improve the productivity and reduce the number of manufacturing processes by removing a short dot process. CONSTITUTION: A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate has data pads receiving input of image data, and first electrodes operated by receiving image data signals inputted through the data pads. A color filter substrate(314) is opposite to the TFT substrate, having second electrodes opposite to the first electrodes. A seal line(318) is formed to surround an edge area of the color filter substrate, and physically and electrically combines the TFT substrate and the color filter substrate to form a cell gap between the TFT substrate and the color filter substrate. Liquid crystal is interposed into the cell gap. A backlight assembly is formed under the TFT substrate for providing light to the TFT substrate and the color filter substrate.
