The device for the filling and dispensing of a liquid maintenance medium, and especially anti-freeze, in a high pressure cleaning appliance (10) has a connecting hose (28) which is first tightly connected to a high pressure connection (15) of a pump (12) for the directing of anti-freeze into the pump, and then tightly connected to a suction connection (16) so that through the connecting hose the high pressure cleaning appliance is set in circulating operation. The connecting hose on one end has a screw fitting and on the other end a plug-in fitting for connecting to the pump connections.
