The tray for the holding of a number of packings has four frame segments (10) forming a rectangular frame, and a number of cross members (12) extending between two oppositely lying frame segments. The frame segments are each formed by two profiled plates which are interconnected with a space in between and provided with openings. The tray also has a number of spaced apart holding elements which are U-shaped in cross section and extending at right angles to the cross members.
