It is possible to improve user-friendliness of a recording medium and effectively perform read/write processing. The audio annual ring data, video annual ring data, low resolution annual ring data, meta annual ring data which have been extracted respectively from meta data, an audio file, a video file, low resolution data series are written in an empty area of the optical disc in the order of body, footer, and header, so as to improve the user-friendliness of the recording medium such as rapidly performing edition processing, suppress generation of unnecessary write processing, and to perform read/write processing effectively. The present invention can be applied to a disc device for recording video data or audio data.
