PURPOSE: A cooking stove is provided to reliably prevent ignition and fire extinguishing of another heating part caused by operator's abnormal operation by enabling a person to recognize a heating part to be ignited and extinguished through an operator. CONSTITUTION: In a cooking stove, infrared sensors detecting access of a hand to operation buttons(10,11,12,13) installed to the front of a cooking stove body(2) are fitted into the operation buttons. Luminescent elements(15,16,17) are attached to the rear of a glass upper plate adjacent to gas cooking stoves(5,6,7). A luminescent element(18) is attached to the rear of a glass panel(8b) of a grille(8). If access of a hand to the operation button is detected, the luminescent element corresponding to the operation button which the hand approaches is turned on to inform a person of a heating part which the person wants to operate through an operator.
