PURPOSE: A multi-cylinder closed reciprocating compressor is provided to maximize compression efficiency by performing compression at several times in a plurality of cylinders by one rotation of an eccentric shaft. CONSTITUTION: A multi-cylinder closed reciprocating compressor is composed of a plurality of same cylinders(58a,78a) arranged radially on the upper part of a body frame(55) at regular intervals about an eccentric shaft(57a) rotating together with a crank shaft(57) by a motor unit(56) and a piston rod(59a,79a) of which one end is connected to each piston(59,79) for advancing and retreating horizontally in plural cylinders and the other end is coupled to a rotary ring(57b,77b) combined rotatively with the eccentric shaft. Plural pistons perform different advance and retreat strokes by the rotation of the eccentric shaft. The rotary rings are separated from each other at the constant gap in the vertical direction of the eccentric shaft and formed correspondently to the number of the cylinders. The cylinder is fixed at the height corresponding to each rotary ring.
