PURPOSE: A vehicle wheel speed correction method in mounting a temporary tire is provided to keep properly performance of various electronic control systems using vehicle wheel speed by correcting speed of vehicle wheels if the vehicle wheel speed is distorted in traveling. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle wheel speed correction method in mounting a temporary tire is composed of steps for calculating speed of each wheel by receiving a signal from vehicle wheel speed sensors of each vehicle wheel(S101); deciding if the temporary tire is mounted or not, based on the vehicle wheel speed(S102); outputting directly the vehicle wheel speed that is not corrected if not the temporary tire and correcting the vehicle wheel speed if for the temporary tire(S103); and outputting the corrected vehicle wheel speed to a control system(S104). The control system comprises an ABS(Anti-Lock Brake System), a TCS(Traction Control System), and an ESP(Electronic Stability Program).
