PURPOSE: A TCP connection setup method in PtoP(Peer-to-Peer) communication is provided to achieve real-time information transmission by making a TCP connection using an SMS between a mobile terminal and a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: If a transmitting terminal(110) sets up a PPP(Point-to-Point Protocol) with a PDSN(120) through a PtoP application(301), the PDSN sends a session start request signal to a PDSN/SMSC interworking unit(130)(302). If the PDSN/SMSC interworking unit transfers a message to an SMSC(140)(303), the SMSC transmits a short message, containing the contents of a PtoP connection request, to a receiving terminal(150)(304). If the short message is successfully transmitted, the receiving terminal transfers a PtoP connection request grant message to the PDSN(307). If the grant message is transferred to the PDSN, the PtoP application of the receiving terminal is activated and PPP setup is made between the receiving terminal and the PDSN. The PDSN forwards a session setup request signal to the PDSN/SMSC interworking unit(308). The PDSN/SMSC interworking unit transmits a message to the SMSC(309). The SMSC sends a short message to the transmitting terminal(310).
