DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FORMATTING PRINT DATA WITH FIXED MEMORY ON INKJET PRINTER

PURPOSE: A device and a method for formatting print data with a fixed memory on an inkjet printer are provided not to increase size of a nozzle buffer, even if a number of nozzles are increased, by adjusting the size of raster data received for the HV transformation. CONSTITUTION: A band unit determining module(120) determines a band unit that is a processing unit of the block unit raster data through an operation process. A reception DMA(Direct Memory Access) module(110) receives the band unit raster data from the block unit raster data based on the determined band unit. An HV transformation module(140) generates slice data by transforming the received band unit raster data from a row standard to a column standard. A transmission DMA module(150) transmits the slice data to an external memory(200). The nozzle buffer(130) respectively stores the band unit raster data and the slice data.
