PURPOSE:To improve the travel safety of car by decelerating the car speed quickly to predetermined level upon functioning of coast switch under constant speed travel on a downhill. CONSTITUTION:The controller 1 is connected with main switch 2, a clutch switch 4 interlocked with a brake pedal, a set switch 5 for setting the car speed under constant speed travel and a coast switch 6 for decelerating the car speed below setting level under constant speed travel. With correspondence to the output signals from said switches 2-6, the controller 1 will provide a control signal to first transistor 14 and to perform open/close control of engine throttle valve through first solenoid 8. An inclination switch 12 which will turn on upon exceeding of the forward inclination angle of car over predetermined level is provided in the circuit for connecting between the coast switch 6 and the controller 1. |
