摘要 An assembly for mechanically clamping a laminated steel stator core including laminated steel core-end magnetic flux shunts in a dynamoelectric machine is provided. The flux shunt at each end of the stator core includes first and second surfaces for receiving the clamping assembly. The first and second surfaces may be arranged to define a step. The clamping assembly includes an inner support ring configured to engage an entire 360° circumference of the first receiving surface of the flux shunt. The clamping assembly further includes an outer support ring configured to engage an entire 360° circumference of the second receiving surface of the flux shunt. The respective mechanical engagement provided by the inner and outer rings relative to the flux shunt is circumferentially continuous.
